Donald J. Koopman, 82 years old of North Judson, Indiana, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in Knox, Indiana.

He was born Saturday, September 5, 1936 in Wabasha, Minnesota, Son of the late August Koopman and the late Nellie (Glines) Koopman.

Donald enjoyed farming his fathers land. Donald was a member of the Eagles Club in Hobart, Indiana. Donald enjoyed spending time with friends and family..

He worked for Budd Company in Gary .

Surviving are Companion, Barbara Campbell-Phifer of North Judson, Indiana, Son, James Koopman of Cakato, Minnesota, Son, Joseph Koopman of Cakato, Minnesota, Daughter, Donna Koopman of Cakato, Minnesota, 4 grandchildren, Sister, Ann Foster of Simi Valley, California, Sister, Carole & Roger Arenz of Onalaski, Wisconsin, Sister, Alice Riley of Hobbs, New Mexico, Sister, Esther & Edward Pletsch of Rochester, Minnesota, Sister-in law, Judy Shear of Hobart, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by parents August and Nellie Koopman, brothers William, Warren and Dick Koopman, sisters Mavis Koopman, Marjorie Jorgenson and Mary Theisen.

Friends will be received 9 AM till time of service at 1 PM CST, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the at the Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, North Judson, Indiana.

Services will be held at Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1 PM CST with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oak Park Cemetery.
