Opal M Mann

Opal  M. Mann, 90 years old of Knox, Indiana, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, Monday, April 8, 2024 in Knox, Indiana.

She was born Tuesday, May 16, 1933 in Jackson, Kentucky, Daughter of the late Lacy Summey and the late Laura(Mullins) Summey.

Opal was a member of the Knox Freewill Baptist Church and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed tending to her garden and flowers.  She enjoyed canning vegetables and getting dressed up.  Her greatest passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are Daughter, Shelia  Mann of Knox, Indiana, Son, David Ray  Mann of Knox, Indiana, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Mann, son Steven Clay Mann, parents Lacy and Laura Summey, brothes James and Blackburn Summey and sisters Delma Jean Fugate, Geneva Hyche, Joyce Jospeh and Adalee Summey.

Friends will be received 4 PM to 8 PM, Monday, April 15, 2024  at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.

Services will be held at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 11 AM with  Rev Eric Gawura officiating.

Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the family.
