Ronald Trusty, age 74, of Knox, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 12:56 p.m., at his home.

Ron was born on July 13, 1950, in Rousseau, Kentucky, the son of the late Wade Trusty and Cleda (Back) Trusty Childers, who survives. 

On November 8, 1969, in Knox, Indiana, Ron married Karen (Glass) Trusty, who survives. 

Ron was a retired crane operator from Ford Motor Company. He was also retired from the Knox-Center Township Fire Dept., having served as a volunteer firefighter for 22 years. He also served in the United States Army Reserve and was a member of American Legion Post #131 in Knox. In addition to spending time with his family, Ron loved farming with his brother-in-law, Rick McCan. 

In addition to his wife, Karen, and his mother, Cleda, of North Judson, IN, Ron is survived by two daughters, Kristina (David) Morrow and Shelly (Mike) Eskridge, both of Knox, and a granddaughter, Rebecca Morrow, also of Knox, Also surviving are a brother, Greg (Diane) Trusty, or North Judson, IN, and three sisters, Levelle (Dave) Roemer, of Knox, Eurasula (Ken) Dolezal, of North Judson, IN, and Theresa (Robert) Roy, also of North Judson, IN. 

In addition to his farther, Wade, Ron was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Hope Anderson. 

A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 7.p.m. at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox. Rev. Bruce Bennett will officiate.

Friends may call for 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Braman & Son.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ron's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
