Robert "Bob" G. Fort

Robert "Bob" G. Fort, 85 years old of Knox, Indiana, died Sunday, March 13, 2022 in Knox, Indiana.

He was born Thursday, February 11, 1937 in North Judson, Indiana, Son of the late George Fort and the late Grace(Fisher) Fort.

December 12, 1959 in Hamlet, Indiana, Bob married Sue Harness, she survives him.

Bob enjoyed traveling, listening to country music, trapping and fishing.  He was a livestock dealer and enjoyed shearing sheep.  Bob was know for his watermelon growing and his beautiful gardens.  He was greatly admired by his grandchildren for being such a hard working man.  His greatest passion was spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends    .

He worked as a farmer and livestock dealer.

Surviving are  his Wife, Sue Fort of Knox, Indiana, Son, George(Sherry) Fort of Knox, Indiana, Son, Kevin(Lori) Fort of San Pierre, Indiana, 5 grandchildren: Matthew(Thelma Jean) Fort of Knox,Indiana, Rena(David) Messer of Knox, Indiana, Toni(Jon) Harris of North Judson, Indiana, Staci(Casey) Barker of Columbia, Tennessee, Samantha Fort of Columbia, Tennessee,  17 great grandchildren: Austin, Caleena, Katelyn, Kortney, Emma, Riley, Sarah, Logan, Levi, Payton, Eli, Rowan, Klaire, Brady, Easton, Olivia, Paisley,  2 great-great grandchildren: Matthew and Makenzie.

He was preceded in death by sons Robert and Donald Fort, parents George and Grace Fort and sister Evelyn Ambrose.

Friends will be received 10 AM till time of service at 1 PM, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.

Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 1 PM with  Pastor Arlo Schmidt officiating.

Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery, .
