Rev Earl Smith, 79 years old of Culver, Indiana, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025 in Culver, Indiana.
He was born Sunday, December 9, 1945 in Tip Top, Kentucky, Son of the late Troy Smith and the late Nanie(Clemons) Joseph.
Earl was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from owning his plumbing and heating business in 1998. He enjoyed creating wood working projects; attending various churches in the area as a guest preacher, and ministering to those in need.
Surviving are Wife, Ines Prater-Smith of Culver, Indiana, Son, Chris(Kristy) Smith of North Judson, Indiana, Daughter, Tammy(Fred) Hartman of North Judson, Indiana, Daughter, Lisa(Matt) Gundlach of North Judson, Indiana, Step-son, Jeff(Lori) Abrams of North Judson, Indiana, Step-son, David(Virginia) Abrams of North Judson, Indiana, Step-son, James(Michelle) Prater of North Judson, Indiana, Step-son, Greg(Christy) Prater of Woodruff, Wisconsin, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Brother, Arthur Manns of Jackson, Kentucky, Sister, Dulcine(John) Hunnicutt of Knox, Indiana, Sister, Barbara(Larry) Robinson of Knox, Indiana, Sister, Doris Jean Fox, Washington. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years Sandra Smith, step-son Lance Abrams, mother Nanie Joseph, father Troy Smith, brothers Troy Smith Jr and Charles Smith, sisters Thelma Minix, Madeline Wireman and Lynn Patrick.
Friends will be received 10 AM till time of service at 1 PM, Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.
Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 1 PM.
Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox, Indiana.
