Patty Gay Ols-Matzat, 87 years old of Knox, Indiana, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 in Laporte, Indiana.

She was born Monday, April 9, 1934 in Knox, Indiana, Daughter of the late Chris Ols and the late Pauline(Fisher) Ols.

Patty was a member of the Round Lake Church. Her greatest accomplishment was earning her pilot license and her love of flying. She enjoyed making homemade bread. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She worked for Eaton .

Surviving are Son, Richard"Jeff" Matzat of Knox, Indiana, Son, Patrick(Charlotte) Matzat of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Pauline J Matzat of Laporte, Indiana, 4 grandchildren, Brother, Paul Ols of Knox, Indiana, Sister, Jane K Ols of Knox, Indiana, Sister, Jean Ols-Phistry of Knox, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Matzat and parents Chris and Pauline Ols, brothers Chris(Rosie), and John(Josie) Ols, sisters Betty(Anton) Hollandworth, Mary Anne(Herb) Schroeder, Joan Ols, Dollie(Tom) Matzat.

Services to be held at a later date, Braman and Son Memorial Chapel of Knox, Indiana is in charge or arrangements.
