Mary Sue Salyer

Mary  Sue  Salyer, 85 years old of Culver, Indiana, formally of Toto, Indiana, passed away surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, June 21, 2026 in Culver, Indiana.

She was born Saturday, October 12, 1940 in Royalton, Kentucky, Daughter of the late Vellis Scutchfield and the late Beulah(Jackson) Scutchfield.

Mary was a member of the Toto Road and 39 Church.  She was a former Jackson Township Trustee.  She enjoyed crafting, gardening, camping and reading her Bible.  Her greatest passion was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving are Son, Leonard(Joy) Salyer of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Sherry Cowen of Knox, Indiana, 11 grandchildren 24 Great Grandchildren, Brother, Willie(Susie) Scutchfield of North Judson, Indiana, Sister, Elnora  Locke of Springport, Michigan, Sister, Charlene(Lester) Hensley of North Judson, Indiana, Sister, Marcella Minix of Springport, Michigan, Sister, Brenda Lee(Rick) Draper of Pollock, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fontain Salyer and  sons Richard"Rick" Salyer and  Dennis Salyer,  parents Vellis and Beulah Scutchfield and sister Darlene Baughman.

Friends will be received 10 AM till time of service at 1 PM CST, Wednesday, June 24  at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.

Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 1 PM CST with Rev. Mike Noble and Rev Eddie Trusty officiating.

Interment will follow in the Round Lake Cemetery, Knox, Indiana.
