Mary Susanne "Sue" (Knoop) Paulsen was born June 3, 1931 in Claypool, Indiana. Her parents Samuel and Irma(Bowen) Knoop. Susanne graduated from Claypool High School and attended Manchester College where she earned dual degrees in Art Education and Home Economics. She later attended Purdue University North Central where she earned a Master's degree in Education. early in her career, Sue taught art in North Judson and California Township school. She later taught second grade at San Pierre Elementary school.

On May 1, 1954, Susanne married Harry"Heinee" Paulsen of San Pierre. Together they had four children. Morris"Mack" Paulsen of Valparaiso, Indiana, Jo Ellen"Jody" (Larry) Arndt, Charles "Chuck"(Alice) Paulsen and Debra "Deb"(Mike) Hittle all of North Judson. Susanne has 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Susanne in death are her husband Harry"Heinee" Paulsen, parents Samuel and Irma Knoop, her three brothers Cary(Marge) Knoop, Lowell(Peg) Knoop, Paul(Eleanor) Knoop and daughter in law Neila Paulsen.

Visitation will be held Friday June 18, 2021 from 10 AM till time of service at 12 PM at the Braman and Bailey Funeral Home of North Judson, Indiana.

Services will be held Friday June 18, 2021 at 12 PM at Braman and Bailey Funeral Home with Rev Joe Mollet officiating.

Memorial may be made to St Lukes Community Church.
