Marion A. Norem

Marion A. Norem, 80 years old of Monticello, Indiana, formally of Knox, Indiana, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 in Monticello, Indiana.

He was born Sunday, February 21, 1943 in Laporte, Indiana, Son of the late Clarence Norem and the late Marian Ada(Smith) Norem.

In 1961, Marion married Catherine Fletcher, mother to Marion and Kathi.  In 1965, in Knox Indiana, Marion married Theodesia Wachowicz, she preceded him October 15, 2012.

Marion was a member of the Golden Horseshoe Saddle club.  He enjoyed golfing and fishing and rodeo's.  He was Indiana all around cowboy in the 1960's.  His greatest passion was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He worked as a equipment operator  for Railroad .

Surviving are Son, Marion "Tink"(Shannon) Norem Jr of Monticello, Indiana, Daughter, Kathi(Jeff) Lenig of Knox, Indiana, Son, Wade(Lisa) Norem of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Melissa Norem of Indianapolis, Indiana, Son, Jerry(Jennifer) Biddle of Adolphus, Kentucky, 16 grandchildren 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Theodesia "Toni" (Wachowicz) Norem and  parents Clarence and Marian Norem, brothers Clarence, Clyde and Wendell Norem and sister Darlene Vrana.

No service at this time,  Braman and Son Memorial Chapel of Knox, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Golden Horseshoe Saddle club.
