Lloyd "Butch" Lenig

Lloyd "Butch" Lenig, 81 years old of Knox, Indiana, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022 in Knox, Indiana.

He was born Tuesday, April 15, 1941 in LaPorte, Indiana, Son of the late John Lenig and the late Lois(Simcox) Lenig.

September 27, 1980 in LaPorte, Indiana, Butch married Betty Lindwall, she survives him.

Butch was a member of the New Hope Church of Knox and a member of the Golden Horse Shoe Saddle Club.  Butch was one of the orginal members of the Starke County Sheriff Posse.  He enjoyed county music, camping, watching dog shows and attending swap meets. Besides his great love of horses was his family and spending time with them.

He worked for Starke Co Highway Department .

Surviving are  his Wife, Betty Lenig of Knox, Indiana, Son, Wes(Crystal) Lenig of Plymouth, Indiana, Son, Craig(Traci) Lenig of Plymouth, Indiana, Daughter, Denise(Pete) DeVos of Argos, Indiana, Son, Dale Lenig of Argos, Indiana, Son, Tim  Goethals of Lafayette, Indiana, Daughter, Julie(Bill) Goethals-Box of Monticello, Indiana, 14 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren, Sister, Judy(Bink) Benninghoff of Knox, Indiana, Sister, Linda Belork of Knox, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by parents John and Lois Lenig and brothers John and Melvin "Mel" Lenig.

Friends will be received 11 AM till time of services at 2 PM, Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.

Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at  with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating.

Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox, IN  46534.

Memorials may be made to the Starke County 4-H Council.
