Leonard "Jake" Lippner Sr., 89 years old of Knox, Indiana, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 in Knox, Indiana.
He was born Saturday, May 9, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, Son of the late Stephen Lippner and the late Anna (Staszewska)Lippner.
June 28, 1952 in Palos Park, Illinois, Jake married Shirley Magnusson, she survives him.
Jake served in both the US Navy and US Army.
He worked as a carpenter for years and then as a installer and repair man for Sears and was also the custodian at Knox Schools. In the mid 70's Jake and his wife, Shirley, were owners of Big Mama's Pizza. He was a man of many talents. His greatest passion was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and family.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Lippner of Knox, Indiana, Son, Leonard(Susan) Lippner Jr of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Cheryl(Richard) Miller of Knox, Indiana, 5 grandchildren Rebecca(Wayne) Hitt, Jill(Phil) Bailey, Stephen(Tiffany) Miller, Jacob Lippner, Joe Lippner, 3 great-grandchildren Kristopher Bendt, Austyn Hitt and Ethan Hitt, Sister, Bunny(Bill) Burnett, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by parents Stephen and Anna Lippner, brother Ferdinand "Tiny" Lippner and sisters Lolly and Lorraine and 1 grandchild Edwin.
Private family services to be held at a later date, Braman and Son Memorial Chapel of Knox, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
