Kathleen "Kathy" Ann Dedloff- Abbey, 72 years old of Knox, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023 in Knox, Indiana.
She was born Friday, February 23, 1951 in Knox, Indiana, Daughter of the late William Joseph Dedloff and Kattie May (Craigmile) Dedloff .
January 1, 1976 in Knox, Indiana, Kathy married Randy Abbey, he survives her.
Kathy was a member of the Knox United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School, vacation Bible School, a member of the Church choir, a leader of the children's choir and children's bell choir. She was a member of the DAR, PEO, a Starke County 4-H leader, helped assist the Bass Lake Fire Department during fires. Kathy enjoyed traveling especially to Washington D.C. and she enjoyed cooking. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family and children..
She worked as a school teacher for Knox Community Schools .
Surviving are her Husband, Randy Abbey of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Karen Abbey of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Jennifer Abbey of Knox, Indiana, Mother, Kattie May Dedloff of Knox, Indiana, Brother, Craig(Laura) Dedloff of St. Peters, Mo, Brother, Mark(Sandra) Dedloff of Knox, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by father William Joseph Dedloff and sister Brenda Joyce Dedloff-Newell.
Friends will be received 4 PM to 8 PM, Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.
Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11 AM with Pastor Deborah Miller officiating.
Interment will follow in the Round Lake Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Knox United Methodist Church.
