Joyce Ann Higdon, 80 years old of Knox, Indiana, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, Monday, September 6, 2021 in Knox, Indiana.

She was born Saturday, August 16, 1941 in Valparaiso, Indiana, Daughter of the late Victor Pollard and the late Helen(Kuehel) Piper.

May 20, 1961, in Crown Point, Indiana, Joyce married Paul D. Higdon, he preceded her.

Joyce enjoyed gardening and making arts and crafts. She also enjoyed her soap operas, game shows and her Hallmark channel. Joyce enjoyed cooking, especially chicken nuggets for her grandchildren. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family, children, and grandchildren.

She worked for American Oak .

Surviving are Son, Paul Higdon of Syracuse, Indiana, Son, Joe(April) Higdon of Syracuse, Indiana, Son, Donnie(Tabatha) Higdon of Goshen, Indiana, Son, Alfred(Versie Ford) Higdon of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Paula(Gary Leggitt) Fugate of Gary, Indiana, Daughter, Sharon(Jamie) Rodriquez of Winamac, Indiana, 14 grandchildren 15 great-grandchildren, Brother, Victor(Susan) Pollard of Boone Grove, Indiana, Brother, Michael Piper of Valparaiso, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Higdon Sr and parents Victor Pollard and Helen Piper.

Friends will be received 3 PM to 7 PM, Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.
