Joseph R. Godsey Sr., 74 years old of North Judson, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024 in North Judson, Indiana.

He was born Tuesday, August 1, 1950 in Paintsville, Kentucky, Son of the late John Godsey and the late Lottie(White) Godsey.

July 3, 1999, in Laporte, Indiana, Joe married the love of his life, Sheila Young, she survives him.

Joe was a former US Army veteran.  He enjoyed watching survivor on TV.  Joe enjoyed yard work and fishing and his time working at Richard's in Toto.  His greatest passion was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He worked for Alcoa retiring after 30 years of dedicated work in many different roles .

Surviving are  his Wife, Sheila Godsey of North Judson, Indiana, Son, Johnny Godsey, of Florida, Son, Joe Godsey, of Florida, Son-in-Law, Brandon Haddix of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Jennifer(Jason) Howard of Westfield, Indiana, 5 grandchildren, Brother, Floyd(Beverly) Godsey of North Judson, Indiana, Brother, Genes(Bonita) Godsey of North Judson, Indiana, Brother, Gene Godsey of North Judson, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by daughter Tracy Haddix, parents John and Lottie Godsey and sister Fannie Hunnicutt.

Friends will be received 3 PM till time of service at 5 PM, Friday, October 11  at the Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, North Judson, Indiana.

Services will be held at Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, Friday, October 11, 2024 at 5 PM with Rev. Mike Noble officiating.
