James "Pete" Collins

James "Pete" Collins, 66 years old of North Judson, Indiana, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 in LaPorte, Indiana.

He was born Tuesday, November 9, 1954 in Knox, Indiana, Son of Haskell Collins and the late Marie(Minix) Collins.

Pete was and avid outdoors mans, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and ginseng and mushroom hunting. He enjoyed playing cards with his buddies and riding his moped around town. Pete loved the Holidays and getting together with his family, his nieces and nephews.

Surviving are Father, Haskell Collins of North Judson, Indiana, Brother, John Collins of North Judson, Indiana, Brother, Lon(Vonda) Collins of North Judson, Indiana, Brother, David(Carrie) Collins of North Judson, Indiana, Sister, Connie Salyer of North Judson, Indiana, Sister-in-law, Bertha Collins of Knox, Indiana and his most precious 13 neices and nephews that were his world along with his many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by mother Marie Collins, brother Garland Collins and two sisters Gayetta and Viola Collins.

Friends will be received 5 PM till time of service at 7 PM , Wednesday, September 22 at the Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, North Judson, Indiana.

Services will be held at Round Lake Cemetery, Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 10 AM.

Interment will follow in the Round Lake Cemetery.
