James "Jim" C Younggreen, 82 years old of Knox, Indiana, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was born Friday, June 18, 1943 in Laporte, Indiana, Son of the late Walter Younggreen and the late Imogene(Beauchamp) Mazzio.
April 8, 1967 in Burr Oak, Indiana, Jim married the former Carolyn Boggs, she preceded him on July 1, 2022.
Jim was a lifetime member of the Knox American Legion Post 131. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, spending time outdoors, avid watcher of football and basketball and listening to old country music. His greatest passion was spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He worked as a manager for Roll Coater.
Surviving are Daughter, Lynn Younggreen of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Donna(Ted) Hardel of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Diann(Wes) Sheets of Winamac, Indiana, 4 grandchildren: Ashley Hardel of Knox, Indiana, Michael James (Sarah) Hardel of Knox, Indiana, Britney(Jordan) Marovich of Knox, Indiana and Alexis(Payton) Stark of Winamac, Indiana, 4 great-grandchildren: Hayden Hardel, Addysyn Hardel, Ryker Hardel and Dean Fulghum all of Knox, Indiana, Brother, Pat(Fay) Younggreen of Michigan City, Indiana, Brother-in law, Steve(Betty) Boggs of Knox, Indiana, Brother-in-law, Ed(Marsha) Boggs of Knox, Indiana, Brother-in -law, Steve Ranns of Michigan City, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Younggreen, parents Walter Younggreen and Imogene Mazzio, brothers Gene and Jack Younggreen, sisters Ester Ranns and Betty Bechinski.
Friends will be received 10 AM till time of service at 1 PM, Monday, April 6, 2026 at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.
Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Monday, April 6, 2026 at 1 PM with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating.
Interment will follow in the Round Lake Cemetery, Knox, Indiana.
