James (Butch) R Salyer

James (Butch) R. Salyer, age 74 of North Judson, IN passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Franciscan Health Care in Michigan City, IN.

Butch was born on February 23, 1948 in Athens, IN to the late Woodrow Salyer and late Virginia (Hopkins) Salyer.

On November 13, 1972 in Winamac, IN, he married the late Sue (Rowe) Salyer.

Butch was the preacher of the True Vine Church in North Judson, IN.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, and anything outdoors.  He was a United States Navy Veteran.

Surviving are his brother Eugene Salyer of Knox, IN; sister Janet (Jerry) Button of Winamac, IN; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents Woodrow and Virgie Salyer; wife Sue Salyer; brothers Woodrow Salyer, Jr, Benjamin Salyer, and Edgar Salyer; and sisters Wanda Faye Salyer and Bertha Clabough.

Friends will be received 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM, December 28, 2022 at the Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, North Judson, IN.

Services will be held at Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 01:00 PM with Rev. Leonard Salyer officiating.

Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery.
