James  C.  Biddle, 81 years old of North Judson, Indiana, passed away, surrounded by his loving family,  Wednesday, November 9, 2022 in North Judson, Indiana.

He was born Friday, July 11, 1941 in a farmhouse near Buffalo, Indiana, Son of the late Harvey Biddle and the late Marjorie(Dulin) Bowers.

August 12, 1961, James married  Darlene Frieden, she survives him.

James was a member of the North Judson United Methodist Church.  James received his Bachelor and Master's Degree from Indiana State University.  In James's 40 year career of education, he was a Biology teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal.  Most of his educational  career was at LaCrosse High School.  He spent 2 years at North White High School as a biology teacher and 13 years at Kankakee Valley High School as Assistant Principal and Biology teacher.   James was a founding member of Midwest Aquatic Plant Management Society,  a past member of the Indiana Wildlife Artist Association and a past member of the Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers Association.  He was also a columnist for Indiana Outdoor News Magazine- OL JB's Fishing Report.  Several of his hobbies included reading, hunting, fishing, photography, music and playing lead guitar in several 50's rock groups.  

Surviving are  his  Wife, Darlene Biddle of North Judson, Indiana, Daughter, Deenna(Patrick) McNicholas of Valparaiso, Indiana, 8 grandchildren: Father Declan McNicholas of St. John, Indiana, Captain Jacob(Brooke) McNicholas of Aberdeen, North Carolina, Erin McNicholas of Valparaiso, Indiana, 2nd Lieutenant Elissa(Drew) Mack of Germantown, Maryland, Clare McNicholas of Lafayette, Indiana, Aiden McNicholas of Valparaiso, Indiana, Peter McNicholas of Valparaiso, Indiana, Timothy McNicholas of Valparaiso, Indiana,  2 great-grandchildren:  Logan and Cecilia McNicholas  and baby Mack, , Brother, Stephen(Gloria) Hale of West Harrison, Indiana, Brother, Phil(Gayle) Myers of Murphy, North Carolina, Sister, Reeda(Mike) McBride of Winamac, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by son Jeffrey Biddle and parents Harvey Biddle and Marjorie Bowers.

Friends will be received 3 PM to 7 PM  CST, Friday, November 11, 2022 at the Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, North Judson, Indiana.

Services will be held at North Judson United Methodist Church, Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 10 AM  CST.

Interment will follow in the Highland  Cemetery, North Judson, Indiana.

 In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Indiana Wildlife Federation.
