Homer Salyer Jr

Homer  Salyer Jr. , 79 years old of North Judson, Indiana, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026 in North Judson, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Monday, June 3, 1946 in Salyersville, Kentucky, Son of the late Homer Salyer Sr.  and the late Easter(Poe) Adams.

Homer enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.  He loved to joke and prank others.  His greatest passion was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He worked as a Laborer  for  railroad and Allis Chambers.

Surviving are Companion, Charlotte Thompson of North Judson, Indiana,  sons Bruce Turney, Thurman Turney, daughter Wanda Milliser, Brother, Rex(Jackie) Salyer of Knox, Indiana, Sister, Lola Fletcher of North Judson, Indiana, Sister, Anna(Gary) Young of North Judson, Indiana, 2 grandchildren 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Mike Salyer, son David Salyer, parents Homer Salyer Sr and Easter Adams, brothers Larry, Maywood, Fontain, Jay and Melvin Salyer and sister Nora Lee Fletcher. 

Friends will be received 10 AM till time of service at 1 PM, Friday, April 3, 2026 at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.

Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Friday, April 3, 2026 at 1 PM with Rev Robert Kirby officiating.

Interment will follow in the Round Lake Cemetery, Knox, Indiana.
