Hazel M (Stayton) McCan

Hazel M. McCan, 93 years old of Knox, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in Plymouth, Indiana.

She was born Sunday, November 27, 1927 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Daughter of the late John Stayton and the late Hope(Shafer) Stayton.

April 7, 1967, in Fowler, Indiana, Hazel married Delmar McCan, he preceded her on July 12, 1998.

Hazel was a member of the Knox United methodist Church and the Red Hats. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting and watching her birds. Hazel's greatest passion was spending time with her family, children and grandchildren.

Surviving are Son, Jack(Susan) McCan of Ocala, Florida, Son, Mike McCan of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Son, Doug McCan of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Barbara(Rick) McCan of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Peggy(Lon) Thompson of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Karen(Ronald) Trusty of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Jill(Dan) Palm of Knox, Indiana, 14 grandchildren 21 great-grandchildren 1 great-great grandchild, Sister, Daisy Hepler of LaPorte, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar McCan and parents John and Hope Stayton, brother and sister-in-law John and Betty Stayton and brother in law John Hepler.

Graveside Services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Monday, December 28, 2020 at 12 PM CST with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, IN 46563.
