Gerald L. (Jerry-Merg) Wilke, age 59, of Knox, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, at his home following an extended illness. In Michigan City, Indiana, Jerry was born on October 11, 1965, son of the late Lawrence and the late Sharon Sallee Wilke.
On January 1, 2011, Jerry married Kim Kampe in Grovertown, Indiana. He worked in construction and lived in the area most of his life. He loved to ride motorcycles and go off-roading. He also loved being with his family, as well as his dogs and goats.
Survivors include his wife, Kim, three sons, Gerald “JJ” (Brittany) Wilke, of Lapaz, Indiana, Curtis (Kristi) Wilke, of Plymouth, Indiana, and Harley (Sarah) Robbins, of Columbia City, Indiana, a brother, Lawrence “Peewee” (Cathleen) Wilke, of La Porte, Indiana, a sister, Jacqueline (Greg) Watt, of Crandall, Texas, and 13 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Lawrence and Sharon, Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Kolton Robbins, brother, Harvey Wilke, and nephew, Wyatt Wilke.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
