Gerald "Jerry" Matysak

Gerald "Jerry" Matysak, 81 years old of Knox, Indiana, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 in Knox, Indiana.

He was born Wednesday, May 26, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, Son of the late Albert Matysak and the late Violet(Nordman) Matysak.

Jerry was a member of the Army reserves and Legion Post #777.  He was a lifetime farmer and weekend warrior.  He enjoyed camping and traveling.  His greatest passion was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

October 1, 1966 in Knox, Indiana, Jerry married the former Sharon Hausler, she survives him.

He worked as a machinist  for US Steel.

Surviving are  his Wife, Sharon Matysak of Knox, Indiana, Son, Rick(Michelle) Matysak of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Shelly Matysak of Chesterton, Indiana, Daughter, Tricia Matysak of Fayetteville, Arkansas, 3 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by daughter Cheryl Annette Matysak, parents Albert and Violet Matysak and brother Albert Matysak.

Private Family services will be held at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.

Private Family Services, Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox, Indiana.
