Garry L. Briggs, age 69, of Knox, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024  at 9:45 p.m. at this home

The son of the late Leonard Briggs and the late Martha (Clark) St. Jermane, Garry was born on March 18, 1955 in Knox, Indiana. where he lived most of his life. 

On September 30, 2011, in Gatlinburg, TN, Garry married Gladys (Moore) Briggs, who survives. He worked in auto body repair as a painter.

He was a member of Zion Gospel Church in Kewanna. In his personal time, Garry also enjoyed painting cars, driving his moped, and loved spending time with his family and three dogs.

In addition to his wife, Gladys, Garry is survived by three sons, Russell Humes, of Chicago, IL, Denny Humes, and Randall Slusser, both of Knox, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Garry was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Briggs and Martha St. Jermane, his brother, James D. Briggs, and his sister, Loucinda Poul. 

Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Russell Moore on Friday, July 19 at 1 p.m. at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services on Friday at Braman & Son.Memorial Chapel.

Interment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.

Memorial contributions may be made in Garry's name to Zion Gospel Church in Kewanna.
