Florian V Janasz

Florian Valentine Janasz, 89 of Bass Lake, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025.

He was born Monday, April 13, 1936 in Leavenworth, Kansas, Son of the late Bartholemew Janasz and the late Anna Mary (Vlecharczyk) Janasz. He was the 13th of 15 children - 2 girls and 13 boys, all preceded him in death.

He served in The 10th Mountain Division of the U.S. Army 3 years in Germany (1955 - 1957.)

He worked 31 years as a Machinist/Welder at White Cap Company in Chicago, Illinois.  This is where he met his wife of 54 wonderful years, Orlean (Risner).  They were married on June 1, 1968. They retired and moved to Bass Lake, Indiana.  Orlean preceded him in death on January 5, 2022.

They are left with 1 grand daughter, Debbie; 6 great-grandchildren, Vincent, Cory, Kristina, Krystal, Anthony, and Jackson; 7 great-great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
