Emogene Van Campen, 89 years old of North Judson, Indiana, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in North Judson, Indiana.
She was born Sunday, May 8, 1932 in Carver, Kentucky, Daughter of the late Lewis Minix and the late Erie(Rudd) Minix.
August 27, 1988, in North Judson, Indiana, Emogene married Kenneth VanCampen, he preceded her on July 30, 2014.
Emogene was a member of the Calvery Baptist Church of Knox. She enjoyed listening to Gospel music and cooking. Emogene also enjoyed playing the card game Skipbo. Her greatest passion in life, was spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
She worked in custodial services for North Judson Community Schools.
Surviving are Daughter, Peggy(Chris) Madsen of North Judson, Indiana, Son, Anthony(Jane) Standifer of Grovertown, Indiana, Son, Timothy(Justine) Standifer of Hamlet, Indiana, Daughter, Pam(Dennis) King of North Judson, Indiana, Step-son, Kenneth(Joann) Van Campen of Jackson, Michigan, Step-son, Donald Van Campen of Jackson, Michigan, Step-daughter, Debroh Van Campen of Hastings, Michigan, 8 grandchildren 20 great-grandchildren, Brother, Dairel(Mary Sue) Minix of Four Acre, Kentucky, Sister, Annette(Cecil) Standifer of Owingsville, kentucky, Sister, Betty Arnette of Four Acre, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. VanCampen and step-daughter Patsey Rudd, brothers Arnold, Charles, Roger and Melvin Minix and sisters Lois Burton and Faye Salyer.
Friends will be received 2 Pm to 6 PM, Sunday, November 28 at the Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, North Judson, Indiana.
Services will be held at Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, Monday, November 29, 2021 at 11 AM with Rev Todd Masters officiating.
Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery.
