Donald Koch Obituary

Donald Koch, 86 years old of North Judson, Indiana, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 20, 2026 at his home in North Judson, Indiana.

He was born Thursday, November 16, 1939 on the Koch Farm in North Judson. Son of the late Fred Koch and the late Mary Edith(Gnuschke) Koch.

June 26, 1965 in Knox, Indiana, Donald married Glory Schadek, she preceded him on May 21, 2025.

Donald was a life-long resident of North Judson. He worked on the family farm until his mother advised him to get a factory job that paid well. He worked as a machinist at various factories for the next 40+ years. He finished his career as a Group Leader at Dwyer Instruments in Kingsbury. He attended St. Peter Lutheran school for 8 years and graduated from North Judson high School in 1958. Donald was an active member of the Trinity Assembly of God church in Knox. He volunteered as a Sunday school teacher, Kids Church teacher, Board member, greeter/usher and did maintenance and remodeling. Donald loved to travel on vacation and film their adventures. The family talked about life being like a picnic all year long. He enjoyed farming and gardening, woodworking, mushroom hunting, bike riding and using his small farm tractor. He was also great at designing and building things, and being able to fix almost anything.

Surviving are son, Brian(Heather) Koch of Clearwater Beach, Florida, son, Doug(Jennifer) Koch of San Pierre, Indiana, 9 grandchildren 6 great-grandchildren, Sister, June White of North Judson, Indiana, Sister, Betty(Byron) White of North Judson, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his wife Glory Koch, parents Fred and Mary Edith Koch, brothers Leonard(Deloris) Koch, Oscar(Sylvia) Koch, Paul(Pat) Koch and Elmer(Christel) Koch and sister Dorothy(Earl) Trusty.

Friends will be received on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 10 AM until the time of service at 12 PM at Trinity Assembly of God Church in Knox, Indiana. Reverend Larry Lund will be officiating the service. Braman & Son Memorial Chapel of Knox is in charge of arrangements.

Interment will follow in the Denham Cemetery, Denham Indiana, .

Memorials may be made to the Outreach Ministry of the Trinity Assembly of God Church.
