Debbie J. Riddle, born June 5, 1954, left this world with a broken heart but a love story that never truly ended.
Debbie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and the kind of woman whose love ran deep, even when her stubbornness ran deeper. Just one month after losing the love of her life, Ronald "Rooster" Riddle, her heart simply couldn't bear the weight of being apart. After 52 years together, through laughter, arguments, hard times, and countless memories, they proved what everyone already knew - they were never meant to be apart for long.
She leaves behind the family she loved: her children Michelle (Scott), ReGenna(Jr), and Ronnie (Crystal); grandchildren Chase (Ali), Catlynn (Malici), Jose, Jaymin, Sam, Raiden, and Isaiah; and great-grandchildren Paisley, Westlyn, Octavia, Brystol, Jade, Aurora, and Boone.
Debbie's love showed up in a million ways - through worrying about everyone, and making sure everyone knew exactly what she thought. She loved hard, protected fiercely, and carried her family in every piece of her heart.
Those who knew Debbie knew that her and Ron's love story wasn't perfect - it was real. They fought like cats and dogs for over five decades, but somewhere between all the bickering, teasing, and stubbornness, they built a life full of love. We find comfort knowing they're together again, and we're pretty sure Mom is already kicking Dad's butt in Farkle… probably keeping score (cheating).
Mom, we love you to infinity and beyond.
Till we are together again, keep dad company!
A celebration of life for dad and mom will be August 15 at the American Legion in Monterey at 2pm.
