David Shepherd Sr., 65 years old of Knox, Indiana, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in Knox, Indiana.

He was born Thursday, February 9, 1956 in Winamac, Indiana, Son of the late Albert Shepherd and the late Emily(Howard) Shepherd.

February 10, 1977 in San Pierre, Indiana at the Assembly of God Church, David married Catherine Back.

David enjoyed working and inventing things. He loved reading and studying his bible every morning. His greatest passion was spending time with his family, children and grandchildren.

He worked on the railroad for Norfolk and Southern Railroad .

Surviving are Son, David(Mary) Shepherd of Knox, Indiana, Son, Chris(Missy) Shepherd of Knox, Indiana, Son, Nicholas Shepherd of North Judson, Indiana, Son Brandon(Kayla) Miller of Nashville, Tennessee, 11 grandchildren Jayla Shepherd, Jeslyn Shepherd, Hunter Stacy, Emily Shepherd, Lilian Shepherd, Isabella Shepherd, Brayden Shepherd, Brayla Miller, Mykah Miller, Noelle Schmalg, Hayley Washington, Brother, Gary Shepherd of North Judson, Indiana, Sister, Geraldine(Ricky) Minix of Nashville, Tennessee, Sister, Delores"Pee-Wee"(Hal) Troike of Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was preceded in death by parents Albert and Emily Shepherd, brothers Albert "Junior" Shepherd and Larry Shepherd and sisters Rosalie Redlin and Alene "Sissy" Bradley and nephew Tony Wayne Back.

Friends will be received 10 AM till time of service at 1 PM, Sunday, April 25 at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.

Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 1 PM with Rev. James Richie officiating.

Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery.
