David Lee Fugate, 66 years old of Frankfort, Indiana, formally of Knox, Indiana, passed away with his loving family by his side, Sunday, June 23, 2024 in Frankfort, Indiana.

He was born Wednesday, April 2, 1958 in Breathitt County, Kentucky, Son of the late Robert Lee Fugate and the late Ora Lee(Wagers) Fugate.

David enjoyed fishing, planting big gardens,  growing flowers mostly sunflowers and daisies.  He enjoyed listening to music and bowling. He worked at MPI manufacturing for several years.  David loved nature in every way, being around rivers and lakes, walking in the woods, digging  for night crawlers and catching minnows for bait.  David accepted Jesus Christ into his heart August 20, 2018.  His bible never left his bedside.  His message to his remaining family, God bless you always, wake every morning in Jesus and God's sunshine.  His greatest passion was spending time with his family, his brother Paul and all his sisters..

He worked as a laborer  for MPI .

Surviving are Sister, Kathy Huff of Plant City, Florida, Sister, Helen(Art) Fredrick of Valparaiso, Indiana, Sister, Jewel Minck of Plant City, Florida, Sister, Flora  Nance of Bremen, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by parents Rev. Robert and Ora Fugate, sisters, Eva Terry, Evaline"Evie" Fugate, Mae Smallwood, Bertha Galbreath, Hallie Bee Fugate-Carroll, Delcie Salyers, brother Paul Fugate and nephew Jason Salyers and niece Melissa Salyers.

Friends will be received 10 AM till time of service at 12 PM, Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.

Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 12 PM with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating.

Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox, Indiana.
