Cleda Mae Trusty Childers, passed away, Wednesday November 12, 2025 in her home in North Judson, Indiana. She was born on March 5th, 1932 in Guage, Breathitt County, Kentucky to L.D. Back Jr. and Viola Brown Back.  She was born the second of Eight Children to Laz and Viola, and she was the only girl.  Cleda said growing up on the farm under the firm, demanding discipline of her mother made life very rough, but she respected her mother and learned excellent work values.  At the age of sixteen she married Wade Trusty.  They had met through Church youth groups and camps.  Their union brought into the world five children.  Levelle(Dave) Roemer, Ronald(Karen) Trusty, Eurasula(Ken) Dolezal, Theresa(Robert) Roy and Gregory(Diane) Trusty.

Cleda was a homemaker until 1965 when the move to Indiana from Kentucky had her move into the workforce.  Thirteen and a half years later the closing of the factory(Simmons Co.) forced her to retire from the upholstery business.  At this time Wade was very sick and on disability.  In March of 1980 he passed away.  Soon after Cleda met a wonderful widower named Bill(Billy Don) Childers.  It took 5 years to take the plunge but in December of 1985 they took a trip to Tennessee and were married.  Sadly, their happiness was short lived when it was discovered Bill had liver and pancreatic cancer and succumbed 5 months after diagnosis.  She has made quilts for all her children and grandchildren with plenty to spare.  Her cooking and baking were second to none with her specialty being chicken and dumplings.  She was just one of those people who could do anything she set her mind to.  

Above all Cleda was a good  and loyal friend and a wonderful, caring, Mom, Grandmother to seven and Great grandmother to seven.  Cleda epitomized all that a mother should be and we were so blessed to call her Mom and Grandma.  Cleda was preceded in death by her parents L.D. and Viola, her seven brothers Freman Back, Ray Back, Lee Back, Chalmer Back, Roy Back, Russell Back and Clyde Kenneth Back, her son Ron Trusty, and one infant grandchild, Jordan Wade Trusty, and and infant Great Grandchild Hope Anderson.

Services for Cleda will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2025  from 10 AM CST till time of services at 12 PM at the Braman and Bailey Funeral Home in North Judson, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery in North Judson, Indiana.
