Caroline Janice Johnson, 82 years old of Knox, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023 in Laporte, Indiana.

She was born Monday, January 6, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois, Daughter of the late LeRoy Collins and the late Johnetta(Brock) Collins.

Caroline was a past president of the Black Horseman Association in Chicago and enjoyed riding horses.  She was involved in the Starke County CASA program and in the Democratic party her in the county.  In her pastime she enjoyed working on leather crafts and signs.  Her greatest passion was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She worked as a  insurance consultant and prepared taxes.

Surviving are Son, Robert(Nadine) Rice of Federal Way, Washington, Son, Mark(Alexia) Lunningham of Knox, Indiana, Son, Troy Bolds of Knox, Indiana, 8 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents LeRoy and Johnetta Collins..

Celebration of Life services to be held at a later date, Braman and Son Memorial Chapel of Knox, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
