Bonnie L Gibson

Bonnie L Gibson, 92 years old of Portage, Indiana, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026 in Valparaiso, Indiana.

She was born Saturday, October 14, 1933 in Gary, Indiana, Daughter of the late Henry Buhr and the late Maxine(Peyton) Buhr.

May 2, 1950 in Miller, Indiana, Bonnie married Shelby Gibson, he preceded her in death on November 30, 2017.

Bonnie was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Portage,  a member of the American Legion Post 279 in Miller, Indiana and Topps of Portage, Indiana.  She enjoyed crafting, traveling and catering.  Her greatest passion was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving are Daughter, Shannon(Rick) Evans of Hanna, Indiana, Daughter, Barbara(Kirk) Lewis of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Son, Edward(Charlotte) Bundy of Menifee, California, Son, Russell(Gilbert) Gibson of San Antonio, Texas Daughter-in-law Sue Ellen Gibson of Knox, Indiana, 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Gibson, son Randy"Hooter" Lee Gibson, parents Henry and Maxine Buhr, brothers William Buhr, Byron Williams, Bernard Williams and sister Barbara Buhr.

Celebration of Life to be held at a later date,  Braman and Son Memorial Chapel of Knox, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
