Bill  Brewer, 84 years old of North Judson, Indiana, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021 in Laporte, Indiana.

He was born Friday, August 13, 1937 in Jackson, Kentucky, Son of the late Hoy Childers and the late Eva(Noble) Kennelly.

Bill was a retired US Army veteran.  He was a member of the Knox Masonic Lodge #639, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend and the Orak Shriners of Michigan City.  He was a member of the Starke County Sheriffs Posse and a member of the North Judson American Legion Post #92.  Bill was also on the Indiana State Riffle Team.  Bill also enjoyed fishing,  mushroom hunting, traveling, golfing and enjoyed listening to Blue Grass Music.  His greatest passion was spending time with his family. 

He worked for Ford Motor Co. 

Surviving are  his wife, Cheryl(Bobo) Brewer of North Judson, Indiana, Son, Bradford(Carrie) Brewer of Knox, Indiana, 3 grandchildren, Brother, Devonn(Jackie) Childress of Mont Clair, California, Sister, Mille Gay of Franklin, Ohio, Sister, Marsha(Bill) Parkison of Toutle, Washington.

He was preceded in death by parents Hoy Childers and Eva Kennelly, brothers Burley Childress and Joe Childress, sisters Edna Campton and Bonnie Stamper.

Friends will be received 4 PM to 8 PM, Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, North Judson, Indiana.

Services will be held at Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, Friday, December 31, 2021 at 11 AM with Rev. James Adcock officiating.

Interment will follow in the Round Lake Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
