Betty J. Lenig, 83 years old of  Knox, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022 in Knox, Indiana.

She was born Thursday, October 12, 1939 in Laporte, Indiana, Daughter of the late William Lindwall and the late Christine H. (Baker) Lindwall.

Betty enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting and crocheting.  In her past time she enjoyed square dancing and reading.  She also enjoyed watching  birds, especially her favorite the Cardinals.  Her greatest passion was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She worked as a clerk  for Starke County Government.

Surviving are Daughter, Julie(Bill) Goethals-Box of Monticello, Indiana, Son, Wes(Crystal) Lenig of Plymouth, Indiana, Son, Craig(Traci) Lenig of Plymouth, Indiana, Son, Dale  Lenig of Argos, Indiana, Daughter, Denise(Pete) DeVos of Argos, Indiana, 14 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren, Sister, Mary Ann Worthington of Laporte, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Theophial "Jack"  John Goethals, second husband Lloyd "Butch" Lenig, son Tim Goethals and sister Helen Rathburn.

Friends will be received 11 AM till time of service at 2 PM, Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.

Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Friday, December 16, 2022 at 2 PM with Rev Bruce Bennett officiating.

Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox, IN  46534.

Memorials may be made to Hospice or Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue.
