Althea "Faye" Fancher, 64 years old of Knox, Indiana, died Monday, May 21, 2018 in Laporte, Indiana.

She was born Friday, April 23, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois, Daughter of the late Edward Blackwell and the late Barbara(Jenkins) Blackwell.

On August 21, 1991, in Hammond, Indiana Faye married Edward Fancher, he survives her.

Faye enjoyed gardening, her dogs and chickens. Faye's greatest passion was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She worked as a House wife.

Surviving are her husband, Edward Fancher of Knox, Indiana, Son, Stephen Michael Gratt JR of Valparaiso, Indiana, Daughter, Michele & David Blumreich of Schaumburg, Illinois, Daughter, Denise Cash,of Indiana, 3 grandchildren, Sister, Brenda & Frank Caporale of Hobart, Indiana, Sister, Theresa Tharp, of Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by parents Edward and Barbara Blackwell and sister Cindy Motsinger.

Friends will be received 10 AM till time of service, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.

Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 1 PM with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.

I worked with Faye at JCP including when she was in Loss Prevention. We had some great laughs due to her outstanding sense of humor. Faye was simply a nice person! The kind you're glad passed through your life.
