Matilda J Lawson, 82 years old of North Judson, Indiana, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in Knox, Indiana.

She was born Tuesday, May 14, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, Daughter of the late Leonard Zmich and the late Mary(Salona) Zmich.

On May 28, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois, Matilda married Billy Lawson, he preceded her on November 10, 1994.

Matilda was a member of St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Matilda loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are Son, Bill(Susan) Lawson of North Judson, Indiana, Daughter, Donna(Ron) Siebert of North Judson, Indiana, Daughter, Patricia A Lawson of North Judson, Indiana, Daughter, Sandra A Lawson of Hammond, Indiana, Daughter, Teresa M Lawson of North Judson, Indiana, 20 grandchildren 40 great-grandchildren, Brother, David Zmich of Chicago, Illinois, Brother, Leonard(Maureen) Zmich JR of London, England, Sister, Katherine(Charles) Haerle of Chicago, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lawson, daughters Debra Riley and infant Patricia Lawson, son-in-law James Perkins, brothers Ronald and Thomas Zmich and sisters Jennette Torres, Bernadette Zmich, Mary Zmich and Christine Zmich.

Friends will be received 4-8 PM Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the at the Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, North Judson, Indiana and Monday July 17, 2017 from 11 AM till time of service.

Services will be held at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic church, Monday, July 17, 2017 at 1 PM with Father Terry Benis officiating.

Interment will follow in the St Jacobs Cemetery.
