|Dear Aunt Janet, Welter family and friends,
Please know that you are close to our hearts and thoughts and prayers. We will pray that the Lord will comfort you and give you peace.
We will miss our long phone conversations filled with laughter, kindness and talks about aches and pains. We kept in touch over the years with only cards and calls but still felt a closeness that will be greatly missed. Uncle Joe genuinely cared about others and felt their sorrows and pains no matter who you were or what the issue was. He simply cared very deeply about those the Lord had made in His image; which included everyone and fortunately me and my family. As my health became difficult, I could tell in his voice that he shared my burdens and I tried to do the same for him. He was a gentle man which is rare in this world and we will miss him.

|Rest in peace, Uncle Joe, after a long and eventful life. My sincere condolences to all family and friends who knew him, especially his brothers Jim (my father) and Harold (my uncle). Uncle Joe always loved family reunions - so the afterlife should be a great time for him! But he will be greatly missed by those of us who are still here.|
