Brenda Van Asdall, 57 years old of Knox, In, died Friday, September 22, 2017 in La Porte, Indiana.

She was born Thursday, May 5, 1960 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Daughter of Russell Moore and the late Esslonia(Fugate) Moore.

Brenda was a member of the Zion Gospel Chapel in Kewanna, Indiana. Brenda enjoyed playing the piano and watching her grandchildren in the Knox Marching Band. Brenda's greatest passion was spending time with her children, grandchildren and family.

Surviving are Son, Kenneth(Alisia) Van Asdall of Knox, Indiana, Grandchild, Julian Williams of Knox, Indiana, Grandchild, Andrew Van Asdall of Knox, Indiana, Grandchild, Shane Van Asdall of Knox, Indiana, Good Friend Jeff Van Asdall of Knox, Indiana,  Father, Russell Moore of Knox, Indiana, Brother, Larry(Wanda) Moore of Knox, Indiana, Brother, Ron(Kathy) Moore of Akron, Indiana, Sister, Nona(Bill) Miller of Fulton, Indiana, Sister, Goldie Frazier of Grovertown, Indiana, Sister, Gladys(Garry) Briggs of Knox, Indiana, Sister, Wanda Shields of Knox, Indiana, Sister, Veronica(Dennis) Wilson of Winamac, Indiana, Brother, Russell(Lisa) Moore JR of Knox, Indiana, Sister, Tonya(Donnie) Atkins of Portage, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by daughter Melissa Moore, mother Esslonia Moore and brother-in laws Ray Frazier and Monty Shields.

Friends will be received 4-8 PM, Monday, September 25, 2017 at the at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.

Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 1 PM with Rev. Roy Hensley officiating.

Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the Knox High School Band Boosters.
