Louis James Maciejack, 86 years old of North Judson, In, died Saturday, March 25, 2017 in South Bend, Indiana.

He was born Tuesday, May 27, 1930 in Calumet City, Illinois, Son of the late Walter Maciejack and the late Ella (Wolf) Maciejack.

Louis was a huge Chicago Cubs fan. Louis enjoyed junking and recycling and was known around town as the Junk man, he also enjoyed Bingo. Louis was a member of the North Judson American Legion and the Portage Moose Lodge. Louis greatest passion was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He worked for US Steel.

Surviving are his Daughter, Christine Tolson Rollings of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Daughter, Lynn Maciejack of North Judson, Indiana, Daughter, Tina Yankauskas of Valparaiso, Indiana, Step-son, Kenneth Craft of Indianapolis, Indiana, Wife, Emma Jean Tolson of North Judson, Indiana, 13 grandchildren 25 great-grandchildren 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by parents Walter and Ella Maciejack, brothers Chester, Leonard, Walter JR, Eugene, Cornelius Maciejack, sisters Elinore Ellis, Ella Cearing, Helen Cearing, Louise West, Patricia Brooks and 2 grandsons Michael Lovely and baby Luke.

Friends will be received 4-8 PM, Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the at the Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, North Judson, Indiana.

Services will be held at Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 11 AM with Rev. Hager Tolson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery.

We are very sorry for the loss of Uncle Louis. We are sorry we cant make the funeral for living so far away, he was a sweet man

So sorry to see Uncle Tootie go. He was the last of his siblings so I guess it's the end of an era. I'll be remembering you in my prayers.
