Edwin J. Sitek, 88 years old of Knox, In, died Friday, March 10, 2017 in Knox, Indiana.

He was born Saturday, October 20, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois, Son of the late Frank Sitek and the late Pauline(Daziewich) Sitek.

Ed was a member of St Thomas Catholic Church. Ed enjoyed farming and raising animals. Ed never met a stranger. Ed's greatest passion was spending time with his family and going out to dinner with them.

He worked as a Farmer and at Bendix.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Sitek of Knox, In, Son, Dan (Teresa) Sitek of Knox, Indiana, Son, Daryl(Paula) Sitek of Three Rivers, Michigan, Daughter, Fran Hawes of Indianapolis, Indiana, 6 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by by parents Frank and Pauline Sitek, brothers Walter and Henry Sitek and sisters Lillian Smith and Irene Schulz.

Friends will be received 3 PM to 6 PM, Thursday, March 16 at the at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.

Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 6 PM with officiating.

Uncle Ed was one of my favorite Uncles he always made you laugh and was a caring person. Everytime I came out there to visit he always offer me a place to stay the night .
You will be missed uncle Ed .

Fran and Ethan,

I'm very sorry for the loss of your father and grandfather.

Ed was a good man, and he's in a much better place.
